What kind of animation do you guys use for sprites? I just wanted to know for future reference.

Do you mean animator? We use Flash, Windows Movie Maker (I suggest you don't lose), After Effects, Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.NET (forgot which can't), GifMaker and there's a bunch more I forgot.
