Pretty straightforward topic this time guys: what class(es) do you like playing in RPGs most? This can be from any RPG but I do ask that you expand on your answer.
Do you prefer the up front, melee-oriented Fighter themed classes, or perhaps the more magically fragile casters such as Mage or a Cleric? Anything is acceptable, as long as you can provide details.

Well of coarse I love the thief. Though I also like the idea of multi-classing like a Fighter Thief or a Archer Thief but again that is just me.

I'm usually more drawn to the Magic Caster or the Archer.

Well in WoW I was a Paladin, but that was mainly due to the lore behind the class rather than the style itself.

I'm more drawn to the Hunter, something about having a pet with me at all times and being able to own shit from a distance really gets my motor humming.

I usually go for Rangers/Archers, Spellcasters, or Monks. Usually when they are a balance between their offensive martial-arts, and support/healing (Monks)

Blues, if you wish to take over and make your RP plans here where SotD4 is then you can go right ahead. The current RP is as dead as a doornail now.

I like a lot of classes, but i usually go for hunters/knights :3

Zack, I've been your partner in these things all too long, you know my classes. I prefer the Tanking Build (Paladin / Jedi Guardian). Strength, endurance, vitality: all vital. Speed? Not so much. This is my two-cents, don't consider this a staff/player application.

I love all classes really, I mostly play the Archer, Mage, and Paladin.

I like to play as all, but the types I usually prefer are the up close and personal. The melee fighters, especially if they are fast and can rack up a combo super quickly.

I have no real preference for class, just as long as Class doesn't restrict what your character is capable of. This is mostly a problem with superhero RPGs (such as the Paragon, Speedster, Crime Fighter, etc. having to follow strict guidelines), but it's just a personal preference that classes should simply enhance traits that best represent the class, and not force characters into super-specific niches.

I won't be too strict but fighters won't cast spells with ease, nor will mages do terribly well with an axe and shield, that sort of thing.

I will be so into this if we come up with a diverse system for stats, etc.

As you probably guessed I am gonna be a thief so... what will thiefs get in this?

I tend to play faster melee fighters with a few spells that support them like the Death Knight/enhance shammy from WoW or the dervish from Guild wars. I'd rather be a Tank or Pure damage rather than healer or support.

Not really, mate. While it would be nice to have the RP back and running again, Vortex has been cursed for years now with RPs that die before they get off the ground. If we want one that's going to actually stick, it would require that more than just a paltry ten or fifteen people get in on it. No, we need at least thirty to make it last.

Seems to me like the consensus was that nobody cares enough about a revival of the RPG. Can't say it's any skin off my ass since I never joined. But it's a shame because it still provided a higher participation rate around Vortex.

Technically I agreed that it would work, provided we have a higher playerbase than we usually do.

We get a good number of people, we'll have an RPG.

We already have active members, but some are here only for their purposes only, and most of them get bored and leave. So why not do something that everyone would like, something interactive or something... I dunno.

If you can figure out what awesome thing we can do that's image and text based, and I'm all ears.

I was thinking why don't we just make an rpg but it changes every month unless it's real succesful. So how about the standard one for June and then after the first saga or if it starts to die down make another like a DBZ based one and if thats succesful continue it for a while.

Well making Rpg's up is actually extremely hard, because your basically coming from nothing. And changing it each month? That'd be a hell for the people making it, but the idea of a new rpg is intriguing. Poll anyone?

It just slowly degrades the playerbase with each iteration until it's dead.

It's what happened last time.

Honestly working on this right now. It's not ready to post about yet.
