I don't think there would be any sort of public voting.

And if so, it would either be to narrow down options, or to help find an option out of the ones the Staff has already narrowed down.

Yeah, but you'd also have to know the rules. So you don't do them, and enforce them instead.

You'd also have to know a lot of people, and have a bit of respect or they won't notice you.

Unfortunately tunechi, you had just gotten banned off a vortex affiliated site for not reading the rules and following them and what not- I highly doubt you'd get a spot to be a mod.

However, I am very curious to the topic of new mods, but since its not up to the regular members to decide when new mods should be chosen, I'll wait until an admin says something.

Also, don't forget we had a few mods join the crew a few months back if I believe.

For some reason I feel like a mod should have a sense of nobility, in the sense that they shouldn't WANT to be a mod. They should need to deserve it, instead of just thinking up reasons why they should get it. Their personality should shine through, and not have to be shown by them personally.

But aside from all that BS, I would like to put the notion in people's heads that I wouldn't be too shitty of a mod. I've been here for probably 2-3 years, I'm extremely active, I've never had more than a warning level 1, and I have a deep, sweet, craving for power.

@Luka: I don't think they should not want to be a mod so much as not begging for it, but you're right, they need to earn it. Mods should be mods because they do their job, not just because other mods like them.

I applied to be a mod once, I would gladly do it again if you guys needed someone I don't wanna see this place go down. I know I don't post much but I'm always here.

Honestly, I agree with what Luka says and I think he and Sasuke-Ish should probably have a vote aswell as alot of other people but my first decision would have to be Sasuke-Ish.

I concur. These 2 are the longest standing members that aren't mods, and are still active. And the fact that they're 2 of the greatest spriters in Vortex can't hurt they're odds..

i used to always wanted to be a mod just be like my buddy fortex and in a sense make him proud,
but now i would like to see someone who knows whats best for a the forum, because i have grown
out of my selfish and childish ways and grown to love the forum so i want what best for it

I think it'd be nice if the mods/adimns chose some candidates, make a poll and then, the regular members voted on who they think is the best. Or maybe something like this. Because I think the best way to see if someone is liked is asking.

I have no opinion on who should be mod cause the only ones of you I hang out with don't really have mod material in them except for the ones that are already mods.

I thought I established this the last time I was given my mod status back. I almost never post. I just come to the site, look around, and then don't post.

That's why your mod status was removed. If you aren't going to participate in the community, you don't get a shiny name badge. Simple as that.
