But why the hell do all of you like Rise Against so much? I honestly consider them the most horrid piece of frat-rock-dude-trash that I've heard in the past 10 years. My local rock radio station, KROQ, would be a whole lot better if they didn't play that garbage.

I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinions n stuff, which is exactly why I'm posting this up. Not doing this to be a dick, but to look into the minds of my fellow Vortexians and ask, just WHAT is it that makes them so appealing to the majority of you guys?

It's really not cool to hate on music, I mean don't you hate it when someone trashes a band you really like? I do. So i don't trash bands.

Rise against is alright, I mean I wouldn't put them in my top 10 but they do not make totally shit music.

Why is it not cool? Like I said, everyone's entitled to their opinions. It wouldn't be cool to trash their music to the individual band member's FACES, but otherwise I find a lot of music shitty and I won't think twice to vocalize it, just as I'm 110% positive many people here would despise the music that I listen to, it's all about personal taste.
