Some of you are probably thinking "who the hell is Jay? is he a new Admin?", this post is intended for the older class of Members that actually remember/know me and have put up with me for so long!

I’m the first to admit I haven’t been around as much as an Administrator and Creator of Dragon Ball Z Vortex should be. This isn’t a post full of excuses, justifications and second hand promises of redemption though.

This notice serves us my (official) announcement of my retirement from position as Administrator on Dragon Ball Z Vortex. My activity and sporadic appearances over the years are not really fitting of someone who should be the driving force and hero of Vortex. Being the creator of Vortex has given me diplomatic immunity for far too long – Vortex deserves good staff.

This is not another one of those ‘I’m leaving forever (...again)’ topics and as such I’ve exercised the last of my true admin power to make this an announcement rather than a post in the Welcome/Goodbye board (like the common folk do).

I won’t be retconned from Vortex though and have taken up the position of ‘Founder’. This new position will allow me to continue with the background presence and intermittent attendance without the ties of authoritative responsibilities and reliability tied to being an Administrator. I will still occasionally pop in, spout off ideas or wisdom, and then disappear for another few days/weeks/months only this time I won't be classed or feel like a bad administrator for it.

I have spoken with Blues Light about his future plans for Vortex (his intentions towards my daughter, if you will) - Blues Light is a good friend and one of the ancients when it comes to LSW Spriting. I have great respect for his passion and commitment and I am sure he is the best figurehead, inspiration and authority that we need. I am confident that the big changes he has in mind are the best things Vortex could hope for.

It has been an honour being an Administrator here and getting to know some of you over the years. I just want to thank each and every one of you (spriter to member, not so much leacher and knob head) for being a part of this awesome community and for making DBZ Vortex what it is; the ultimate home of LSW Spriting.
