It needs to make NOISE! Often I'll be doing something else with the box still open, and 20000x replies have happened. Also, if you scroll up it automatically scrolls you down to the bottom in about 2 to 5 seconds.

I sense a bit of Hyperbole.

We don't really have any control over the chatbox, it is the way it is I'm afraid. Only thing I can tweak is where it appears on the board.

Thing is, I'm really not exaggerating. Occasionally it lets you look longer, but I had to hold down the scroll bar to read it, and it would still jump down.

Is that because some one adds some text, if no one replies then it wont scroll down.

Well, aside from apologizing for any inconveiniences, there's nothing we can do. It's a standard feature on the board, with very limited, almost non-exsistant customization.

Oh it's understandable, I'm just clarifying what's been happening is all.
