I think he means small preview pictures of the sprite sheets, like VRP Vault use to have.

Whilst it is easy, its extra work and bandwidth to save a sprite preview, to make a preview for every single sheet we have would take a very long time, plus the new vault organisation we have is done via a database so its primarily text based.

We *may* do it for the VRP vault (because its controllable and doable at the moment) but the other vaults will stay text based, its just too much effort and time for a cosmetic change.

Its ok, it was a good idea, it'd look attractive I agree. For the normal vaults though (which are massive) it'd be too large and take too much time.

Isnt it possible to construct a new site, just a section of the sprites, souly based on Imageshack or Tinypic related sheets, thatway Photobucket doesnt have a fucking fit again?

Yeah we're working on a solution, it'll take a long time to migrate all the sheets and fix every link though so we probably won't move it all.

Its the VRP sheets that are a big contributor to the bandwidth issues, so I think we'll put the VRP sheets somewhere else, this should automatically take a big strain off the photo bucket account and help a lot, it'll give slightly less sheets more bandwidth to play with. It won't solve the problem but it'll help.

In fact, we did have this before: the first week of the vault's unvailing. The time it took to load each thumbnail back then was jawdropping, and the fact that we have maybe twice as much as then would cause PhotoBucket bandwidth downtimes to be even more regular.

As Jay said, it is possible that we'll move them to another host to save bandwidth - a possible one is just the host for the site, since they offer 10x as much bandwidth monthly as PB (since they expect full sites, and low and behold we have one). Stuff is being spitballed right now, so when a decision is reached, we'll be sure to explain it to everybody.
