I see a lot of sprite sheets that say things like "credit is given to whoever needs it". But can this pass for credit? I usually put something like "credit goes to (example)". Things like that. I just want to know if it's okay to use it the other way.

I dont see why it wouldnt be, but it would be better to put who actually made the things originally... that way there would be no confusion as to who actually made it.

Technically, it shouldn't unless you have no idea who to give credits to.

In all honesty, I've hated that since the first person who dared typing it into their tag thought it should pass. But it's become common to do so now.

I say not to, because 3 or 4 months down the line nobody knows who in the world deserves credit, and this becomes a nightmare for Vault organisation and whatnot.

Well, if it has no info, then you really cant credit the original person... which may be a problem.

If the sheet does not have a credit tag and needs one, ask the person to give credit UNLESS the person made it by themselves.
