UPDATE 3: Down for further maintenance (give me a break PM system!)

Myself and Seto have been trying (attempting and mostly failing) to get the PM system back up and running. The full record of our tests can be found HERE but there's no need to read that unless you want to.

We think we've found a solution but whilst the theory and initial testing seems solid we need more feedback.

I've enrolled EVERY single member into the special PM group, hopefully this will allow PM's to be sent amongst each other... but it might not, can members try pm'ing each other and let me know (via comments) if it works/doesn't work.

did you ensure you spelt his name right?

I normally click find username and use a wildcard * to find the member.

I've had success off omega and seto (pm's forward and back). The testaccount is a normal member account (no special permissions or powers whatsoever) so it functions the same as any other member.. which makes the matter all the more confusing if certain members still can't PM each other.

A pm as successfully went from myself to Tail, Omega jet ssj, and Seto stevce. Tails didn't had a pm button on his account(not sure about the others) but typing it in worked fine. Now we wait for the replies. In the meantime Imma go crap and get something to eat. :)

Read the previous posts. We found a problem and we had to get rid of the current solution.

Ok after numerous tweaking and fidgeting, the PM system *should* be back online and running perfectly.

Ah man the problem occurred again.

For those interested for some reason it was allowing members to edit other peoples profile.. very strange side effect and obviously not acceptable.

I think the PM issue lies within the coding of the forum so top men are looking into it... TOP MEN!
