| Did you not notice the lack of updates in the VRP board for months and total ceasing of progress?
I fear for your pets. |

I fear for your pets. My pets are fine... There supposed to be skeletons right? Nah I knew VRP was dead, I did suggest burying VRP afterall. I guess I just really don't want VRP to end >=/ |

| Then get in the kitchen and make me a pixelated VRP sammich woman!!!
Seriously though, there's no real reason we can't continue the project I suppose, although the team is mostly retired. |

| Actually VRP became a freelance project. If you want to make a VRP sheet, use whichever version you want as a reference and hand it in to an Admin. If it's deemed worthy of the VRP style then it will be updated to the vault. Just like how Afro made that Kid Buu. |

| That's a shame. I'd like to see some VRP again, maybe you could incentivate people on doing VRP, maybe a contest or something... |

| A couple of team members didn't agree with the style, some thought it was too time consuming (I think) while others had their own hyrbid style on the side, neither helped matters. We didn't make it easy on ourselves when we evolved the style to 2.0 either though. The point of VRP was to be a consistent style and set of sprites.
Its an open source project now but the interest in spriting the style seems limited, I'm not sure why, I wouldn't mind some feedback. Do you guys find the 3tones too awkward or time consuming? are the guides not good enough? are there just better styles to use? |

| It's not that it's more time consuming for three tone it's just actually making the sheet is time consuming for me, when I could be doing other things with my time. Adding VRP to my plate would screw me over. I think that's what it's like for a lot of people. |

About that, the style just didn't work for me because it was slowly turning into AB's style of spriting ( No offense at all AB). Maybe I wasn't ready to sprite like that, or maybe I didn't want to. I don't know. |

Do you guys find the 3tones too awkward or time consuming? are the guides not good enough? are there just better styles to use? There are a number of reasons as to why VRP is hardly sprited. The 3 tones is not awkward, though it can be time consuming. As to the guides, I feel as if when we shifted to VRP 2.0, there wasn't really a proper explanation or guide as to how to sprite it. It seemed like suddenly MCX and Ab had created this style thr suited their type of spriting. The anti-aliasing was confusing as hell; a lot of people hadn't an idea as to when was the right time to use it. The last point you make about the better styles comes with spriting. A newer, better style will always emerge as we are always getting better. VRP2.0 was really only a vamp of the old base. I have to say that it had a lot of anatomy problems in terms of proportioning. The heavy black shading on the pants is also a thing of the past. IMO, people just don't work well in teams anymore. I'm gonna sound like an oldfag here but back in the day, people were so excited to join teams. It was like you were apart of something big and important. Everyone was making teams. And Fonzy had just jumped over 14 garbage cans on his motorbike. Yes my friend, these were some good times. Also, people are really strapped for time and nobody even sheets their own stuff now. The demand to make huuuggeee sheets with a billion poses is very high. Nobody can be bothered making their own sprites let alone someone elses.

| VRP 1.0 was the best, it was the simplest to sprite and looked better in some cases. |

| if you did get vrp back on the road, i'd be more than happy to help
but i do have one suggestion
instead of one person deciding what the final style will look like get member of the team to help out and get them more involved |

| I'm doing a sheet of Bardock, I didn't see any guide or tut, but I think it's VRP 1.0 thing. Also, if there were a team, I'd participate too. And Nexus, when you gave me permission to use your Bardock colours, were I allowed to use the whole sprite? |

| We went through a long change from 1.0 to 2.0 though, and deciding on the final look for 1.0 took FOREEEEEEVER. It really WAS a huge team effort.
I'm throwing my hat in with Seto on this one: sheets just take too long for me anymore. Hell, I don't really sprite anymore as it is. I work. I have classes every weekday. I see my friends. I play WoW (yeah yeah, I know). I see the GF. Sheeting on top of all that takes alot :/ |
