first things first: what\'s would the group do?
well thats is a good question, the group would generaly
give help to people who need help with animations for example
1. making the animation run smothly
2. adivce on the best animation soft
etc.
mabye the group can make some tuts on basic animation
then make more tuts to make it more advance

I wasn't sure where to suggest Jack puts his topic, so I proposed he asks if people are interested first.

If enough people seem interested, it'd make sense to start a topic inside tutorials or some place relevant where people can take animation requests and/or give animation advice etc

Not everyone uses Flash for Animations, Many people use different Programs. Z-Fighter for example uses Animation Shop. I use Photoshop, so i mean if your going to do this, you need someone who is experienced in their given Animation Program and work from there, if there is going to be a team then you need a leader assigned to each program, and make tutorials based on their programs.

I've also got Flash, just don't use it much cause I'm used to Photoshop.
AND, I have Fireworks which I can animate with as well.

eh? The idea seems ok. But if it's just a group to make tutorials separate from one another I don't really see the point. As you could just do it by yourself anyway.
