| It was a segway to someone to come in and just repeat "What is love? Baby dont hurt me, dont hurt me, no more." However since your bein pissy about it, ill answer you.
Love is just an emotion people feel it isnt supposted to be anything other than that, movies, tv shows, and songs make it seem like its this great and wonderful thing, as in the real world it is only a select thing, either connecting to fucking, or dating. However social contruct sounds like something that would be found in a Emo/Scene/Goth kid's poem. |

| Love can be between two people, as in man & gal, or just non sexual love, like telling your mum you love her before you go to school. Love between a couple seems to be an advanced emotion, which only humans can seem to show. Cos lets face it, most male cats do it cos they can, while humans can come to accept each other as people before doing that. So, if one wants to sound like an ass, maybe love between a couple is just an advanced friends with benifts. I however, believe love at such a level is something even more special than that. I may be a right pain sometimes, but I am very philosphical. |

| You wanna know what love is? I'll tell you.
"Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight gonna grab some afternoon delight. My motto's always been; when it's right, it's right. Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night. When everything's a little clearer in the light of day. And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.
Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.
Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite looking forward to a little afternoon delight. Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite and the thought of rubbin' you is getting so exciting.
Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight." |

I met her in the bathroom of a K-mart, and we made out for hours. Then we parted ways, never to see each other again. |

| No, it does not exist.
People may think they are in "love" but there not. It's lust and not wanting to be alone, which is not love. |

As a reality, emotion, concept or illusion. You're saying that "Love" referring to affection for another does not exist which is a bunch of bollocks. You use the motivations behind said affection to disprove it, which is nonsense. The principal exists atleast in our heads and it doesn't matter what the motivation behind it is. Love is affection, and affection exists. "I love movie X, it was such an improvement over movie Y" "I love my mother, she's so caring to me" "I love you, you're beautiful and smart and nice and funny and.." All these uses of "love" have in common that they're about affection for something. It doesn't matter what the subject is about. Love for your parents is similar to loving that hot piece of ass next door 'cause they both share a degree of importance and you gain happiness from them. - But I get what you're saying, that "Hollywood idea of love" you got all linked up with the word does not exist. But it does also, as an idea and as a concept; as a rational for defining our affection for our mate into our reality. |
